FretFlow's application code is MIT licensed. Third-party software, fonts, samples and other assets keep their own licenses and notices. Source and additional provenance are available in the project repository and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
alphaTab 1.8.4
Score parsing, notation and exports. Copyright Daniel Kuschny and contributors. Mozilla Public License 2.0. Upstream source; integrated library notices.
The website uses the unmodified npm distribution with separate FretFlow adapters. The iOS app uses a modified offline parser: unused import.meta is replaced, processing limits are added, and JSON calls are wrapped for the native bridge.
Download the corresponding iOS parser source (ZIP). It includes the modified ScoreParser.js, original core, generation script, its inputs, dependency versions and license notices. Archive SHA-256.
Bravura notation font
By Steinberg, used unchanged from the alphaTab 1.8.4 distribution in both the website and native notation renderer. SIL Open Font License 1.1 and copyright notice; upstream font source. Reserved font names and the original font log are retained.
FreePats Spanish classical guitar · 2019-06-18
Recorded by Roberto. CC0 1.0; upstream samples. The SoundFont's single preset was changed from program 0 to General MIDI program 24; the guitar samples are unchanged. Source, modification and hashes.

Additional distribution notices
The alphaTab web assets also retain the SONiVOX EAS soundfont's license and provenance; FretFlow's score and detected-note playback use FreePats. The dependency lockfile records further web packages, including Liquid DOM 0.1.0. Their own distribution notices apply; the application's MIT license does not relicense dependencies.
Server-side analysis
These components run on the analysis server and are not distributed with the iOS app:
- ChordMini — revision aa6e3a8, MIT code license. Upstream code is unmodified; FretFlow adds an analysis adapter.
- Spotify Basic Pitch 0.4.0 — Apache 2.0 and NOTICE. Uses the official prediction pipeline.
- Demucs 4.0.1 — MIT code license. Unmodified upstream code with a FretFlow adapter for optional audio separation.
Model versions and hashes are recorded in models.lock.json. Software licenses do not grant rights to third-party music or training datasets.
